When a post fails to publish, solnk records the error in your post history. Go to your Posts page, find the failed post, and check the error message for specifics.
Common causes and fixes
Account disconnected Your social account's authorization has expired or been revoked. Open Accounts and choose Reconnect on the affected account.
Media exceeds platform limits The image or video you attached doesn't meet the platform's size, format, or dimension requirements. Check our media formats guide for specific limits per platform.
Content violates platform guidelines The platform rejected the post due to content policy violations. This can include banned words, excessive hashtags, or content flagged by the platform's automated moderation. Review the platform's community guidelines and modify your content.
Rate limit exceeded You've hit the platform's API rate limit — too many posts in a short time. Wait 15–30 minutes and try again. This is most common on X/Twitter, which has strict posting limits.
X publishing allowance reached This is different from an X rate limit. The message Monthly X publishing allowance reached means the active plan's included X pool cannot cover another request. Wait for the next allowance period or use a plan with a larger pool. URL posts and first comments consume more of the pool; see X publishing limits and allowances.
X requests temporarily paused If the message says requests are paused while prepaid balance is replenished, or usage protection could not be verified, do not keep retrying. solnk has stopped the request before contacting X; try again after service is restored.
Duplicate content detected Some platforms (especially X/Twitter and LinkedIn) reject posts that are identical to recent posts. Modify the text slightly before retrying.
Network or server error A temporary issue between solnk and the platform's API. These usually resolve on their own. Try publishing again after a few minutes.
