A "pending" status means solnk has picked up your post from the queue and is in the process of publishing it to the selected platforms. This typically takes less than a minute.
Why posts get stuck in pending
High queue volume — During peak hours, there may be a short delay as posts are processed in order. This usually resolves within 5 minutes.
Platform API slowdown — If a social platform's API is responding slowly, the publishing process takes longer. This is outside solnk's control and usually resolves on its own.
Media processing — Large video files take longer to upload and process, especially for platforms like YouTube or TikTok.
What to do
- Wait 15 minutes — Most pending posts resolve on their own
- Check your post history — If the post eventually fails, you'll see an error message explaining why
- Don't create a duplicate — Avoid creating the same post again while one is still pending, as this could result in double-posting
If a post is pending for more than 30 minutes
This likely indicates a problem. Refresh the Publishing page and check whether the post moved to Published, Partial, or Failed. If it remains pending, contact support with your account email, the post time, and the selected platforms. Do not create a duplicate while the original status is unresolved.
