How do I connect my social media accounts?

Step-by-step guide to connecting each social platform to solnk, including permissions and troubleshooting.

To connect a social account, go to the Connect Account page in your dashboard and click Add on the platform you want to connect.

Platform-specific instructions

Instagram — You need an Instagram Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts are not supported. During authorization, grant the requested publishing and analytics permissions.

Facebook — Only Facebook Pages can be connected, not personal profiles. You'll select which Pages to authorize during the OAuth flow. Make sure you're an admin of the Page.

TikTok — You'll be redirected to TikTok to authorize solnk. Available publishing modes and privacy choices are loaded from TikTok after connection.

YouTube — Sign in with your Google account and select the YouTube channel you want to connect. You must have a YouTube channel created before connecting.

LinkedIn — Both personal profiles and Company Pages are supported. For Company Pages, you need admin access to the page.

Pinterest — You'll authorize solnk to access your boards. After connecting, you can select which board to pin to when creating a post.

X / Twitter — Sign in with your X account to authorize solnk. If X revokes or expires the authorization, use Reconnect on that account. X publishing also uses the plan allowance described in X publishing limits and allowances.

Threads — Connects through your Instagram account. You need an Instagram Business or Creator account with Threads enabled.

Bluesky — Enter your handle (e.g., yourname.bsky.social) and an App Password — not your regular login password. To create an App Password, go to Bluesky Settings > App Passwords > Add App Password.

After connecting

  • A green checkmark appears next to successfully connected accounts
  • You can test the connection by creating a quick post
  • If an account shows a warning icon, try disconnecting and reconnecting it

Common issues

  • "Permission denied" error — Make sure you granted all requested permissions during authorization. Try disconnecting and reconnecting.
  • Account not appearing after auth — Check that your account meets the platform's requirements (Business account for Instagram, admin access for Facebook Pages, etc.)
  • Token expired — solnk automatically refreshes supported tokens in the background. If an account is marked Need reconnect, use Reconnect on that specific account and complete the platform authorization again.
