Supported formats

- Videos: MP4, MOV
How media validation works
Each social platform has its own file size, dimension, and duration limits. When you create a post and select multiple platforms, solnk automatically checks your media against every selected platform's requirements before publishing.
If a file doesn't meet a platform's specs, you'll see a warning telling you exactly what's wrong — for example, "Video exceeds X/Twitter's 2 min 20 sec limit" or "File too large for Bluesky (max 1 MB)". You can then fix the issue before the post goes out.
Key things to know
- Images and videos can't currently be mixed in the same post on any platform in solnk
- Some platforms require media — Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube don't allow text-only posts
- YouTube only accepts video — no image posts
- TikTok Photo Mode accepts 1–35 images
X media limits
- Up to 4 images, maximum 5 MB each
- Or 1 video, maximum 512 MB and 2 minutes 20 seconds
- JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images
- MP4 and MOV video
See X publishing limits and allowances for text, first-comment, and URL-post rules.
Tips
- Use high-resolution images (at least 1080px wide) for best quality
- Vertical video (9:16) works best for Instagram Reels and TikTok
- Horizontal video (16:9) works best for YouTube and X
- When in doubt, just upload your media — solnk will tell you if anything needs to change
